Joan Kim is an associate in the Litigation Department. Her practice includes a range of commercial litigation matters, including product liability defense, antitrust, and contract disputes. Joan has represented institutional clients in all stages of litigation—from drafting complaints and briefs to preparing witnesses and experts for trial—which has resulted in favorable outcomes for dispositive motions and at trial. Most recently, she was a member of a trial team that won a complete defense verdict on behalf of Monsanto in a high-profile product liability matter.
Prior to law school, Joan earned her J.D. from University of California, Los Angeles, where she served as a Managing Editor of the UCLA Law Review and Editor-in-Chief of the Asian Pacific American Law Journal.
