The hiring of a lawyer is an important decision that should not be based solely upon advertisements. No representation is made that the quality of the legal services to be performed is greater than the quality of legal services performed by other lawyers.
Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
Contingent attorneys' fees refers only to those fees charged by attorneys for their legal services. Such fees are not permitted in all types of cases. Court costs and other additional expenses of legal action usually must be paid by the client. Our Statement
This statement is published on behalf of Proskauer Rose LLP and its affiliates (collectively, the “Firm” or “Proskauer”) pursuant to section 54(1) of the United Kingdom Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes the Firm’s slavery and human trafficking statement.
Our Organization
Proskauer is an international law firm with offices in the Americas, Europe and Asia. For more information on the Firm and its offices, please refer here.
Proskauer is committed to the highest standards of responsible and ethical business practice that in turn support corporate social responsibility, protect human rights and create a positive impact on our staff and those around us. This commitment aligns with the objectives of the Modern Slavery Act.
The Firm has a distinctive pro bono program that enables its lawyers to have a broad impact through a variety of projects. We help a wide range of pro bono clients including victims of human trafficking.
Our Suppliers
This commitment extends to our suppliers and supply chain to ensure that any risk of modern slavery therein is understood and avoided. As a provider of legal services our supply chains are relatively straightforward. They consist of other regulated professional service providers, as well as a supplier portfolio typical of a modern professional services organization.
While we have determined our suppliers to be low risk in terms of human trafficking and modern slavery, and expect suppliers to comply with their own legal requirements, we still follow processes that help validate and monitor this.
Our Processes
Currently a process is in place that appraises relevant suppliers both at the time of on-boarding and periodically throughout the supplier relationship. The supplier is subject to a risk assessment ahead of issuance of a supplier questionnaire that collects pertinent information and supporting documentation, which helps the Firm vet the supplier’s suitability. The completed questionnaire is subsequently certified to confirm that the suppliers are willing and able to meet the Firm’s expectations and standards; thereafter, the results are entered into our procurement systems for monitoring effectiveness.
Our Policies
In regards to recognizing risks related to modern slavery and human trafficking, all staff dedicated to administering the Firm’s supply chain when hired and from time to time thereafter are provided with information and resources promoting awareness of these issues and encouraging them to identify and report potential risks.
Our Acknowledgement
This statement has been approved has been approved by the Executive Committee of the Firm on behalf of its members.
