Proskauer is noted by Corporate Counsel for working with Lawyers for Good Government’s “Lawyers for Racial Justice” project to bring attention to state-level legislation on the use of School Resource Officers (school law enforcement personnel known as SROs). Proskauer is conducting research into the connection between SROs and the school-to-prison pipeline. Our research will include locating information on district-level funding, use of firearms, disciplinary issues, data collection, mandatory reporting structure, training protocol, and other key factors that affect the educational environment of low-income youth and students of color.
