NEW YORK, April 26, 2022 – Leading international law firm Proskauer is pleased to announce that it has been named as a Top Firm for Culture by Yale Law Women in its 17th annual Top Firms Report. The Culture award considers factors, such as commitment to pro bono work, diversity and inclusion, health and wellness services for employees, COVID-19 precautions, and paid time-off policies. The award also recognizes Firm engagement in the community through donations and statements supporting social justice causes.
“We believe that our culture is what differentiates us and so this award is particularly meaningful. Serving our communities is a cornerstone of our Firm’s mission and strategy, and it is so gratifying to see that work change people’s lives both inside and outside of the Firm,” said Steven M. Ellis, Chairman of the Firm.
Proskauer is connected to the communities in which we live and work – and a deep commitment to their success and wellbeing. The Firm’s community involvement is rooted in its extensive pro bono work, public service, and charitable giving. Since 2021, Proskauer has committed more than 70,000 pro bono hours to racial justice causes.
The Firm has spearheaded several impact initiatives, including our Collaborate for Change program to combat racism and enhance diversity and inclusion and several programs to enhance career and professional development for women.
“Our people are the heart of our Firm. We believe in a vibrant, diverse and inclusive workplace that supports everyone’s personal and professional growth,” said Daryn A. Grossman, Managing Partner of Proskauer. “We are honored to be recognized by Yale Law Women for our commitment to the greater community and policies and benefits that invest in the health and well-being of our employees.”
Proskauer also received an honorable mention in the report’s Agency & Flexibility category for “demonstrating their commitment to cultivating an attractive firm culture that prioritizes employee wellbeing.” The Firm earned recognition for its caregiver support policies, including paid leave policies for disability, birth, adoption, foster, and family-illness leaves. This category also factors in part-time, flexibility, and remote-work policies.
Yale Law Women produces the Top Firms Report to raise awareness of inequities within the legal profession while highlighting the progress made in the industry. The annual report honors individual firms for excelling in categories that relate to overall workplace equity.
