Shanklin’s arrival Bolsters Top-Tier Media Practice
WASHINGTON D.C., June 13, 2023 – Leading international law firm Proskauer is pleased to welcome Leslie Shanklin as a partner in its Corporate Department and co-head of its Privacy & Cybersecurity Group. Leslie, who has led global privacy teams for media & entertainment companies for over a decade and most recently served on the Privacy leadership team for Warner Bros. Discovery, brings more than two decades of experience in media law, including thirteen years of in-house experience leading intellectual property and data privacy and security legal teams. She will also join Proskauer’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications Group and will be based in Washington D.C.

In her in-house roles, Leslie has built and led global privacy programs for multinational media & entertainment companies and has led legal teams working closely with business, product and technical teams at entertainment brands across the globe. Her experience includes advising on legal and risk aspects of data strategy, building and operationalizing data protection compliance programs in all regions of the world, providing strategic legal counsel around data privacy and security issues in transactions and advising on legal aspects of information security risk, compliance and incident response.
