PARIS, July 16, 2024 – Proskauer, a leading international law firm, announced today it advised the Epiktet Group (“Epiktet”), a leader in care with its home-based childcare, on its acquisition of Amelis, a specialist in home help for the elderly and dependents. Serving more than 45,000 families and generating of more than €110 million, the Epiktet group has established itself as the leader in childcare in France.
The acquisition of Amelis allows Epiktet to continues its external growth strategy and begin a diversification into the home care sector, the largest and most dynamic of the personal services markets. Epiktet’s portfolio currently includes home childcare brands Kinougarde and Mômji, which Epiket acquired in September 2023, and tutoring brand Complétude.
Amelis will form the second branch of the Epiktet group alongside the children's division. Amelis offers a personalized and tailored care plan for each of its beneficiaries with 24/7 intervention capability. This operation is part of a strong commitment to address one of the major challenges of the coming years: ageing well at home. Epiktet intends to capitalize on the many complementary features of the two businesses and enable Amelis to draw on the resources that have made Epiktet such a success, particularly in terms of innovation and data.
