(June 7, 2021) – Proskauer, a leading international law firm, today announced that it represented longtime client Discovery in the sale of the Great American Country Network (GAC) to GAC Media, a newly formed group of U.S.-based investors led by Hicks Equity Partners and multiple U.S.-based family offices. GAC offers music and lifestyle programming and reaches around 40 million TV households.
Proskauer has represented Discovery for more than a decade in numerous strategic acquisitions, sales and joint ventures. Most recently, Proskauer served as an advisor to Discovery in connection with its agreement with AT&T to combine Discovery with AT&T’s WarnerMedia assets to create a premier, standalone global entertainment company.
