Chris Ondeck, Chris Robinson and Bart Williams Recognized for Excellence in Their Fields

Chris Ondeck serves as co-chair of the Firm’s Antitrust Group and head of its Washington, D.C. office. With over 25 years of experience, Chris has established himself as one of the highest-rated antitrust lawyers in the nation and a go-to litigator for clients in high-stakes matters. In the last twelve months, he secured three major wins in the courtroom including the largest antitrust jury trial of the year – and one of the largest in history – by securing a total defense verdict for Sanderson Farms in the Broilers Antitrust Litigation as the sole non-settling defendant where the direct purchaser plaintiffs alleged $7 billion in damages.
Chris Robinson is co-head of Proskauer’s Secondary Transactions and Liquidity Solutions practice and a partner in the Firm’s Private Funds Group. He is known as a trailblazing force in the secondaries market and has spearheaded some of the most complex and noteworthy deals in the industry. His experience extends across all types of secondary transactions including traditional LP-portfolio deals and GP-led liquidity solutions, and he is renowned for his cutting-edge approach to deals and exceptional client service. Notably, Chris advised Blackstone Strategic Partners as a lead investor in one of the largest GP-led continuation fund transactions of the year, which involved Alpine Investors selling its ownership of Apex Service Partners to a continuation vehicle valued at over $3.4 billion.
Bart Williams is chair of Proskauer’s Litigation department and head of its Los Angeles office. As one of the nation’s most sought-after trial lawyers, he is a strategic, diligent and persuasive litigator with experience across commercial litigation, white collar criminal defense and internal corporate investigations. Bart boasts an impressive track record of victories in both jury and bench trials nationwide. His legal prowess has established him as a trusted trial counsel and “go-to” lawyer in high-stakes, headline-making matters. In 2023, Bart and his team secured a total defense verdict for Gilead Sciences, Inc. in a $3.6 billion antitrust case on allegations that the pharmaceutical company struck an anticompetitive "pay-for-delay" patent settlement related to two of their HIV medications following a six-week trial. The verdict was the third ever in reverse-payment cases of this type and the first ever to find for the defense on grounds of the absence of a payment and the absence of market power for the brand in the relevant market.
