NEW YORK, June 22, 2023 – Leading international law firm Proskauer announced today that it advised longtime client Jaime Gilinski in his agreement to own not less than an 87% interest in Grupo Nutresa, Colombia’s largest food maker.
The deal was more than two years in the making and involved a series of tender offers for stakes in Grupo Nutresa, Grupo Sura and Grupo Argos. As a result of the deal, Jaime Gilinski will control Grupo Nutresa. The transaction is subject to approval by local regulators.
Proskauer has been representing Jaime Gilinski on the U.S. law aspects of both the acquisition and financing transactions.
