LONDON, June 8, 2023 – Proskauer, a leading international law firm, announced today that it advised Fidelio Capital (“Fidelio”), an independent Swedish investment company, on the successful closing of its latest investment mandate, Fidelio III.
Fidelio III closed with total commitments in excess of the €1 billion target, demonstrating strong investor demand and more than tripling the size of Fidelio’s previous investment mandate. Fidelio has continued to build on its existing investor base of families, entrepreneurs and individuals, while expanding internationally to include family offices from the US and across Europe. The total capital raised includes a significant commitment from the Fidelio team of more than €125 million.
Founded in 2010 by Gabriel Fitzgerald, Fidelio has made 12 platform investments, with more than 150 add-ons, scaling many of these from small local businesses into global leaders in their respective markets. Fidelio’s ambition is to build outstanding businesses without being limited by a pre-determined investment horizon or geographical borders.
The Proskauer team was led by special funds counsel Nick Rose and partner Nigel van Zyl, with associates Imaan Gangi and James Baikoff (Private Funds).
