Stephen Edwards is a Special Real Estate Counsel in the Real Estate Department. Stephen has a particular focus on commercial conveyancing and retail and mixed use development. He has represented clients in a broad range of local and national commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions and sales, leasing, development, financing and construction.
Stephen is a past President of the Real Estate Bar Association for Massachusetts, and continues to serve on its Standards and Forms Committee. He authored a chapter on commercial purchase and sale agreements for the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education publication Drafting and Negotiating Commercial Real Estate Documents in Massachusetts, where he is also a faculty panelist. In addition, he authored a chapter on leases and tenancies for MCLE’s Crocker’s Notes on Common Forms.
Prior to his legal career, Stephen was a lieutenant in the US Navy Chaplain Corps, serving with the US Marine Corps.
