Proskauer

Rob is an associate in the Corporate Department and a member of the Private Funds Group.

He advises private equity fund sponsors throughout the lifecycle of their funds, which includes assisting with the formation of private investment funds, co-investment funds and managed accounts, facilitating the funds’ investments in portfolio companies, as well as fund ownership and operational matters. 

His fundraising experience spans the private equity asset class for sponsors with a wide variety of strategies such as buyout, venture and growth capital, emerging markets, infrastructure and secondaries.

Rob also advises a number of institutional investors on primary investments, direct and indirect co-investments and secondary transactions and has experience advising fund sponsors and investors on a number of GP-led fund restructurings / liquidity solutions.

Rob was recently shortlisted for the Innovation Trailblazer award in the Law.com Legal Innovation Awards 2023. The awards recognise the crucial role of promoting innovation played by those in the legal profession.

Prior to joining Proskauer, Rob was an associate at Linklaters (London) and at Webber Wentzel (Johannesburg).
