Maegan O’Rourke is an associate in the Corporate Department and a member of the Private Funds Group. She counsels private investment fund sponsors on all aspects of their business, including fund structuring and formation, co-investment funds and managed accounts, investments in portfolio companies, regulatory issues and compliance, and day-to-day management and operations.

Maegan represents clients pursuing a variety of strategies across the private equity asset class, including venture and growth capital, secondaries, and fund-of-funds. She has experience advising and representing clients with the formation and operation of management entities for private funds.

She also advises clients in secondary transactions, which include portfolio sales of limited partner interests and direct investments. Maegan completed a secondment in the private funds group at PineBridge Investments, where she gained valuable insight into the business and legal needs of the institution and those similar to it.

Maegan is a member of the Hiring Committee in Proskauer’s Boston office and the firmwide Associate Council, where she co-chairs the Associate Morale and Wellness sub-committee.
