Elise M. Brown is an associate in the Firm’s Corporate Department and member of the Private Funds Group.
Elise represents private fund sponsors in fund formation, joint ventures, portfolio investments, secondary transactions, and ongoing operations and compliance. Her practice includes growth equity, venture capital, real estate, infrastructure, fund-of-funds and other strategies.
Elise also advises sports leagues and sports-focused private equity firms in fundraising and other corporate matters.
Elise earned her J.D. degree from Boston University School of Law, where she was a member of the Boston University Law Review. While at Boston University, she worked as a legal intern for Major League Baseball’s Boston Red Sox and as a judicial intern for the Honorable Vickie L. Henry of the Massachusetts Appeals Court. Prior to law school, Elise earned her M.A. in Sports Management from the University of Michigan where she worked as a student intern for USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program and the University of Michigan men’s soccer team.
Elise is an active member of the hiring committee of Proskauer’s Boston office and was selected to be a Protégée for Proskauer’s Women’s Sponsorship Program, an initiative that champions high-performing mid-level and senior lawyers as emerging leaders.
