The 2023 Proskauer Alumni Los Angeles reunion reignited the powerful network of relationships that Proskauer fosters. With 70 attendees from a broad spectrum of industries and roles that our alumni occupy, including Accenture, Creative Artists Agency, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Hillspire, Marvel Studios, Netflix, Petco, The Walt Disney Company, and Warner Brothers Television, it was a testament to both the power of shared history and a vibrant community of friendship, support, and inspiration
Alums were asked to reflect on how their years at Proskauer influenced their career paths.
"Proskauer is where I learned what it meant to excel as a lawyer and that education came from all levels of the firm — mentors, peers, and administrative staff."
Tanya Forsheit, Head of Privacy Compliance, The New York Times Company
“I began my legal career as a summer associate at Proskauer and spent 12 years there as a litigation, and later, privacy associate and partner,” said Tanya Forsheit, now head of privacy compliance at The New York Times Company. “Proskauer is where I learned what it meant to excel as a lawyer and that education came from all levels of the firm — mentors, peers, and administrative staff.”
“Proskauer taught me how to attack novel problems systematically, how to lean on the support of colleagues and how to keep focus on the bigger picture,” added Travis Brashears, the director and counsel of products at Take-Two Interactive Software. “I think any lawyer who can do all three things well will have a long and rewarding career.”
"There is a bond of affection that exists between those who have worked together at Proskauer. It was evident in abundance throughout the evening and is why alumni gatherings are so important — they provide opportunities for colleagues past and present to meaningfully reconnect and reminisce."

As the second consecutive year Proskauer’s Los Angeles office hosted an alumni reunion, these events are more than a walk down memory lane; they are a catalyst for future collaborations, mentorships, and innovations.
“There is a bond of affection that exists between those who have worked together at Proskauer,” commented Michael Firestein, a partner in the Litigation Department who delivered the event’s welcoming remarks. “It was evident in abundance throughout the evening and is why alumni gatherings are so important — they provide opportunities for colleagues past and present to meaningfully reconnect and reminisce.”
