With Erik’s arrival at Proskauer, the Firm strengthens its position as a leader in intellectual property litigation.
Erik brings more than 20 years of experience litigating in key jurisdictions across the U.S., as well as before the International Trade Commission and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Building on Proskauer’s world class litigation practice, Erik will play a pivotal role in expanding the Firm’s Patent Litigation group.

As a first-chair trial lawyer, Erik brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of success. He has earned a reputation for strategic thinking, exceptional client service and remarkable results. His vast experience in patent litigation encompasses a wide range of industries, including medical devices, life sciences instrumentation, pharmaceuticals, electrical and computer technology, telecommunications, and consumer products.

Erik is the fourth partner to join Proskauer’s Washington, D.C. office this year. The Firm previously welcomed partners Robert Pommer (Litigation), John Mahon (Registered Funds) and Leslie Shanklin (Privacy/TMT) to its Washington, D.C. office.

Erik received his BME from Georgia Institute of Technology and his J.D. from George Mason University, Antonin Scalia Law School. Prior to law school, Erik was a U.S. naval officer, serving at U.S. Naval Air Station in Keflavik, Iceland and with Air Test and Evaluation Squadron One in Patuxent River, Maryland. He joins from Cooley LLP.
