January 24, 2020 (New York) – International law firm Proskauer announced today that Daryn A. Grossman, co-chair of the Firm’s global Corporate Department and founder and head of the Life Sciences Group, has been appointed to serve as Managing Partner of the Firm.
Ms. Grossman will succeed Bruce Lieb, who was the first to hold the position and served in the role for nine years, having been with the Firm for over 40 years. Firm Chair Steven M. Ellis said: “It is difficult to put into words how deeply grateful we are to Bruce for his many contributions and unwavering dedication to the Firm. Bruce embodies Proskauer’s values and is a role model to us all.”
As Managing Partner, Ms. Grossman will work closely with Chair Steven M. Ellis to further strengthen the Firm’s practices, industry offerings and culture.

A top corporate partner at Proskauer for 17 years, Ms. Grossman brings significant management experience to her new role. As co-chair of the global Corporate Department, the Firm’s largest division, she oversees a team of more than 350 attorneys who provide strategic counsel to clients on the full spectrum of business transactions.
Ms. Grossman created the Life Sciences Group at Proskauer, a leading multidisciplinary practice, serving clients including mature pharma and biotech companies, emerging companies, their sponsors and investors, and universities and other academic or research institutions. She also formerly led the Technology, Media & Telecommunications Group.
Having served as a member of several Firm committees, including the Hiring Committee, Diversity Task Force, Lateral Partner Acquisition Committee, Business Development Committee and the Proskauer Women’s Alliance, Ms. Grossman has provided significant leadership as well as mentorship to the Firm’s associates, helping to ensure the retention and recruitment of top-notch talent.
