LONDON, April 6, 2023 – Proskauer, a leading international law firm, announced today that it has advised Paytrix, the London-headquartered FinTech that simplifies global payments for high-growth businesses, on its $18.3m Series A fundraising.
The Paytrix payments platform enables businesses to send, receive, and store international payments through one contract and one API – reducing costs and minimising complexity. In contrast, existing international payments solutions typically require businesses to source, negotiate and maintain a minimum of 10 to 15 partners, contracts and APIs. Paytrix’s Series A funding will drive product development and international expansion.
The Proskauer team was led by M&A partner Andrew Wingfield and included associate Kikelomo Lawal and paralegals Ellen Deely and Katrina Hart (M&A). The team also included partner Barry Newman and associate Antonia George (Finance).
Proskauer is the go-to firm for advising on financial services transactions and has a growing roster of clients in the space. The firm has advised DNA Payments Group, the fast-growing vertically integrated payments company, on its acquisition of First Payment Merchant Services, as well as its investment from Alchemy Partners; and has advised AnaCap Financial Partners on its exclusive negotiations with Carrefour Group for the purchase of a majority stake in Market Pay, an end-to-end payments platform and its sale of the German FinTech business, the heidelpay group, to KKR.
