PARIS, September 6, 2024 – Proskauer, a leading international law firm, today announced it advised the digital media group DC Company, owners of Konbini, Le Gorafi, Les Eclaireuses and C’est Qui La Boss, in connection with its strategic partnership with La Dépêche du Midi.
Through this partnership, La Dépêche du Midi will be able to leverage DC Company's recognized expertise and its brands to create original content tailored for social media. Additionally, DC Company will benefit from La Dépêche du Midi’s support in its territorial strategy, allowing it to strengthen its regional presence in Occitanie and beyond.
The two groups also announced La Dépêche du Midi’s acquisition of a minority stake in DC Company, amounting to 5% of the capital. This move marks the commitment of both groups to building a long-term and ambitious alliance. This capital link ensures the involvement of each entity in strategic decisions, particularly regarding digital innovation and the development of new content formats. Jean-Nicolas Baylet, CEO of the La Dépêche group, joins the board of directors of DC Company.
Proskauer has previously advised DC Company and its founder Geoffrey La Rocca on the strategic acquisition of Konbini, a pioneering digital media outlet.
