With more than 35 years of experience, Sandy fiercely represents clients on some of the biggest, industry-shaping matters in entertainment. Her accomplishments include major victories for recording artists, songwriters, record companies and music publishers in unlicensed-use cases that are unprecedented based upon the number of alleged infringements, novel copyright liability issues, and the potential for staggering statutory or actual damages plus profits attributable to the infringement. Sandy also specializes in negotiating pre-litigation and pre-trial resolutions of highly sensitive and confidential personal and entertainment related disputes, which shields her clients from unnecessary media attention and creative disruption.
Sandy serves as the National Legal Counsel for the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, Inc. and is a long-standing member of the Board of Directors of the GRAMMY Museum’s Entertainment Law Initiative, which promotes dialogue and debate about the most compelling legal issues facing the music industry.
