BEIJING, February 5, 2021— Proskauer, a leading international law firm, has been named to China Business Law Journal’s “Deals of the Year 2020” list. The list highlights outstanding China-related deals and cases in 2020, applauding remarkable legal efforts.

Proskauer’s recognition on the list stemmed from the Firm’s unprecedented work on a share swap deal between Grifols and Shanghai RAAS. Proskauer worked with Osborne Clarke and represented Barcelona-based client Grifols S.A. (NASDAQ: GRFS) in its entry into a strategic alliance with China’s leading blood plasma company, Shanghai RAAS Blood Products Co Ltd (002252.SZ). Osborne Clarke was also recognized for their role in the deal. Grifols exchanged a minority interest (45% economic rights and 40% voting rights) in its U.S. subsidiary Grifols Diagnostic Solutions (“GDS”) for a 26.2% interest in Shanghai RAAS.  In addition, the parties entered into a number of commercial arrangements for the manufacture, marketing and development of plasma products and transfusion diagnostic solutions in the Chinese market in compliance with international quality and safety standards.
