LOS ANGELES, August 22, 2024 – Proskauer, a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce partner Kristian (Kris) Herrmann has been named a “Lawyer on the Fast Track” in Law.com’s 2024 California Legal Awards. “Lawyers on the Fast Track” celebrates the next generation of legal leaders by honoring exceptional attorneys under the age of 40.
Kris is a partner in the Firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions group and his practice focuses on advising private equity sponsors in leveraged buyouts, joint ventures, restructurings, minority investments, and other strategic transactions. Kris also serves as legal advisor to the portfolio companies owned or controlled by his sponsor clients and advises on many aspects of their businesses, including add-on acquisitions and commercial arrangements. He also has experience with non-traditional equity transactions, including debt-like preferred equity as third-party financing, equity kickers and co-investments for private credit investors and debt for equity swaps involving distressed companies.
Outside of his client work, Kris is an active participant in Proskauer’s recruiting and pro bono efforts. He currently serves as a Summer Program Chair for the Los Angeles office and sits on the Firm’s Evaluation Committee. Kris is also a member of the Food and Beverage Committee of the American Hotel & Lodging Association.
The California Legal Awards celebrate the lawyers and departments driving the state’s dynamic legal landscape. The recipients of this year’s awards will be honored at an event on October 15, 2024 in Los Angeles.
