Winnie Lee Fraser is Proskauer’s Chief Resilience Officer. She began her Proskauer career as a transactional lawyer with broad-based experience in mergers and acquisitions. Winnie now serves as a business services leader, supporting the Chief Operating Officer, the Global Risk Partner, the Office of the General Counsel and the Office of the Chair in organizational resiliency and response strategies, including the development of resilience frameworks and capabilities for the Firm’s most critical processes. Winnie operates at the intersection of crisis preparedness, value protection and value creation with the support of a Resilience Management department that covers crisis management, emergency response and business continuity planning for the Firm.
Winnie has made her entire legal career at Proskauer, joining as a summer associate in 2004, and as a corporate associate in 2005 after she graduated law school and business school with a JD/MBA. After nearly a decade of practicing law, Winnie assumed the roles of Corporate Department Legal Director and then Corporate Legal Operations Officer, managing all aspects of the corporate business unit that at the time consisted of 375+ attorneys across 10 offices, including with respect to strategy, operations, practice management, professional development and training, recruiting, resource management, evaluations, promotions, compensation, retention and morale. She then transitioned to a Firmwide role as Chief Legal & Strategic Operations Officer to oversee the execution of certain business priorities, strategic initiatives and high-value legal operational matters. As Chief Resilience Officer, Winnie continues to focus on Firm matters that require both legal and business analyses.
During her tenure at Proskauer, Winnie served on numerous Firmwide committees, including the Diversity Steering Committee, Hiring Committee and Summer Associate Committee. Winnie was also formerly chair of the Asian Lawyer Affinity Group and a member of the Associate Council.
