Stanley Komaroff currently serves long-standing client Henry Schein, Inc. as a Senior Advisor and member of its Executive Management Committee, devoting almost all of his business time to Henry Schein, Inc., while continuing as optional service at the firm, where he remains available as a counselor and advisor.
Stanley served as the Chair of the firm for more than seven years, completing his final term in 1999. During that time the firm experienced tremendous success and growth, more than doubling its revenues and profits, and achieving a percentage increase in profits per partner exceeded by only four of the AmLaw 100 law firms. Prior to being elected as Chair of the firm, Stanley was the Chair of the Corporate Department.
Stanley is a general corporate and securities lawyer with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions and international transactions. In the course of his career, he has been involved with hundreds of transactions, dozens of securities filings, and the widest variety of sophisticated issues in which he served as a counselor, advisor, strategist and confidant.
For a number of years Stanley represented several French multinational companies such as Alcatel, Bollore, Club Méditerranée, Eramet, Hutchinson, Bull, La Compagnie Financière Edmond de Rothschild, Rhodia, Sanofi-Synthelabo and TotalFinaElf. More recently he represented a number of Israeli corporations, including Check Point Technologies, Clal Electronics, Nova Measuring Instruments, Opal, Scitex, Super-Sol and Tadiran.
Stanley is active in civil and philanthropic matters, concentrating in the health care field. For a period of more than ten years, Stanley was a member of the New York State Hospital Review and Planning Council. He is a long term director of Beth Israel Medical Center, St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center, and Continuum Health Partners, Inc. He is also a director of the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center.
