Matthew W. Levy is a partner in the Corporate Department and a member of the Private Credit Group. 

Matt focuses his practice on corporate finance transactions. He represents a wide array of credit providers, including private debt funds, BDCs, sovereign wealth funds and other investors in connection with acquisition financings, structured equity issuances, restructurings, junior capital investments, venture debt and other financings. Matt has extensive experience in direct lending, syndicated lending, secured creditor and bankruptcy rights and debt restructurings. 

Matt has industry experience in a wide range of business sectors including industrial and manufacturing, healthcare, software and technology (including fintech), renewable energy and financial services.

Prior to joining Proskauer, Matt was a corporate associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP where he represented various lenders, senior creditors and corporate and sponsor-backed borrowers and issuers in a wide variety of financings, note issuances, equity offerings and restructurings.
