LONDON, June 28, 2023 – Leading international law firm Proskauer is pleased to announce that partner Harriet West has been named a 2023 Rising Star of Legal Service by Financial News. The annual list recognizes talented lawyers under the age of 40 who are advising on some of Europe’s most transformative transactions.
Harriet was recognized for her practice specializing in European private credit and deep knowledge of the finance products developed in Europe over recent years, particularly unitranche financing.
A member of the Firm’s Private Credit and Finance groups, Harriet represents a range of clients with a particular focus on acting for alternative lenders and private credit funds in the direct lending market. She also works with private equity and corporate sponsors. Over the past 10 years, Harriet has worked extensively for high-end private credit funds on a variety of senior, unitranche, super senior, second-lien and mezzanine financings. Recently, she was part of the team that advised Ares Management on the reorganization of the financial publisher Euromoney Institutional Investor involving the separation of the group into the Fastmarkets business and the Delinian business. The reorganization followed on from the provision of committed financing to a private equity consortium for the circa £1.6 billion takeover offer of Euromoney Institutional Investor.
The Rising Stars of Legal Services list recognizes lawyers working across corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, private equity deals and fund structuring, and financial regulation.
