Stephen Chuk is a Partner in Proskauer’s Antitrust and Sports Groups. He advises companies in high-stakes complex multidistrict litigation, cartel cases, and compliance matters. Stephen also counsels individuals and corporate clients facing criminal and regulatory investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, and state attorneys general. In addition, he advises on consumer protection matters involving marketing practices and false advertising.
Stephen has extensive experience advising on antitrust matters involving alleged claims of price fixing, monopolization, group boycott, and bid rigging across a wide range of industries, including fintech, sports, agriculture, and health care, from a matter’s inception through trial. In 2023, Stephen was a lead member of the trial team that secured a landmark victory for Sanderson Farms defending against $7 billion in damages claims, following a 6-week jury trial in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

- Defending a leading revenue-based financing company in an action brought by the Federal Trade Commission alleging violations of the FTC Act, and in related investigations by state attorneys general
- Defending a generic pharmaceuticals manufacturer in multi-district and related state court actions involving allegations of price fixing among generic drug makers
- Successfully representing a professional sports club in connection with an FTC investigation, which was closed without charges or a consent decree

- Defending nation’s largest turkey producer in antitrust class action alleging claims of supply reduction
